Clinical Specialties
Dr. Ford is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He specializes in diseases of the larynx, voice disorders, and phonosurgery.
Research Interests
The focus of Dr. Ford's research is laryngeal function, scarring of the vocal
folds, refinements to optimize phonosurgical results, and neurolaryngology.
Professional Activities
Dr. Ford is on the editorial board of several national specialty journals,
including Laryngoscope, Journal of Voice, ENT Journal, Microsurgery, and Otolaryngology-Head
and Neck Surgery. He is past President of the Society of University Otolaryngologists-Head
and Neck Surgeons as well as the American Broncho-Esophagological Association,
and active in several other major specialty societies.
Recent Publications
Dr. Ford is the editor of a major phonosurgery textbook, has over 100 peer
reviewed publications and book chapters, and has made over 300 national presentations including 10 named lectureships.
