Clinical Specialties

Dr. Gubbels is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is fellowship trained in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. Dr. Gubbels’ clinical interests include: cochlear implantation in children & adults, diseases of the ear, hearing rehabilitation, facial nerve disorders, acoustic neuromas and skull base surgery.


Research Interests

Dr. Gubbels’ research interests include regenerative therapies for hearing loss, inner ear development, congenital ear disorders and cochlear implantation.
