Professional Activities

Dr. Jiang is widely published in the area of voice measurement and disorders, and serves as a editorial board member for Journal of Voice and Annals of Otology, Rhinology, and Laryngology, and reviewer for several national and international journals, including Laryngoscope, IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, Journal of Acoustic society of America. Dr. Jiang is a regular Study Section member of the Center for Scientific Review of NIH, for review of R01 grants, and is a 2001 recipient of a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.


Research Interests

Dr. Jiang's research focuses on the vibratory properties of the vocal folds via studies of excised larynges, biomechanical modeling, aerodynamics, and analysis of laryngeal microstructure. Dr. Jiang is also working on the development of accurate protocols for voice measurement in patients with laryngeal pathology, including professional voice users and children.
