The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is seeking a Microsurgeon who is academically oriented with an interest in developing an outcomes research program or laboratory research program in wound healing. Clinical duties include provision of care to plastic and reconstructive surgery patients at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics as well as the VA Hospital, including breast reconstruction, extremity reconstruction, hand surgery, in-patient support (pressure ulcers, wound repair) and reconstruction following cardiothoracic surgery (sternal wound infection, chest wall reconstruction).
The successful applicant will have an active role in the training/education of medical students and surgery residents, and will give presentations at various hospitals and medical centers throughout the state.
The successful candidate will participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.
