Board eligible or board certified in general surgery with additional training in colon and rectal surgery. Appointment as Associate Professor or full Professor will require candidate’s credentials to meet criteria for tenure and rank at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an exceptional colorectal surgeon, board eligible/certified in general surgery with fellowship training in colorectal surgery. We are seeking an outstanding candidate who has a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions. The incumbent will be expected to develop an independently funded research program. Incumbent will receive support from the department’s robust infrastructure of services including administrative support, accounting and finances, human resources, research administration, laboratory resources, etc. This position is expected to work with colleagues in the Department of Surgery and throughout the Medical School and University to develop productive research relationships which result in national presentations and publications. This surgeon will be expected to play an active role in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.
