Board certified in cardiothoracic surgery with additional training in pediatric surgery. Appointment as associate professor (CHS) or full professor (CHS) will require that candidate’s credentials meet criteria for rank established by UW School of Medicine and Public Health Guidelines.

Principal duties:

The Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon. Successful candidate will be board certified in cardiothoracic surgery with additional training in pediatric surgery. Incumbent will be responsible for advancing a dynamic pediatric cardiothoracic program with a strong focus on patient care. This clinically oriented position includes 1 day in clinic, 1.5 days in the OR, coverage of PICU and NICU, and some weekend call coverage. Incumbent will be expected to take part in clinical trials, outcomes research, and quality research, and participate in the training of general surgery residents, interns, and medical students.

The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service.
