Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in biology or science related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Working knowledge of clinical database desired.
Familiarity with medical terminology is highly preferred.
Experience working with confidential data and on multiple data sets simultaneously.
Familiarity with computers, MS Office applications.
Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and be able to work independently as well as in a team.

Principal duties:

The Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology is seeking a collaborative individual to work closely with researchers and clinicians to access, synthesize, and analyze information from a variety of sources including databases of research results and human subjects. The incumbent will be responsible for organizing and entering confidential data into the Voice and Swallow Clinic’s clinical research database. Data collection responsibilities include abstracting data from audio, paper, and electronic records and inputting clinical data into the database.
