The successful candidate will possess a strong interest in research, education, and clinical activities. Candidates considered for tenure will be expected to bring or develop extramurally funded research, and the candidate will be expected to teach medical students, general surgery residents, and transplant surgery fellows. The clinical emphasis of interest is in adult kidney and pancreas transplantation, vascular access surgery, and living donor laparoscopic nephrectomy. The University of Wisconsin is an excellent choice for the candidate who is seeking a career in a world-class academic medical center. UWHC has been recently ranked by US News as the number 1 rated hospital in the State of Wisconsin.
