Join us for a FREE day-long seminar exploring the complexity
and wonder of your voice!
We invite all individuals who use their voice for communication, including professional singers, teachers and other occupational voice users, to attend this free educational event sponsored by UW Health Voice and Swallow Clinic and Madison Opera.
Free parking is available in the UW Hospital and Clinics Visitor Parking Ramp on Highland Avenue or UW Parking Lot #76 on University Bay Drive. A map is available on the Maps and Directions page.
Workshop topics will include:
• How the voice works
• Prevention of voice difficulties
• Voice therapy
• Medical and surgical procedures for voice problems
• Different ways to measure vocal quality
• Techniques to maximize your voice for performance
• Your vocal career: strategies for getting started and beyond
• Performance anxiety
Two pairs of tickets to the May 15 and May 17 performances of "Faust" by the Madison Opera will be given away in early May.
