The UW Center for Global Health can help arrange a variety of international opportunities. The American College of Surgeons provides listing of service opportunities as well as useful information in pursuing these missions on their Operation Giving Back website.
Opportunities for International Visitors
Positions for international visitors are largely dependent on their credentials. The selection of an international candidate follows much the same process as selecting a domestic applicant. Many scholars visit the United States through the sponsorship of a principal investigator in which case appointment arrangements are made through collaboration between the principal investigator and the department’s human resources office. Training and Educational Opportunities
While highly competitive, acceptance of foreign medical graduates into the UW training programs is possible. We also have many other training programs available at the UW.
