Madison, Wisconsin – Carla M. Pugh, MD, PhD, FACS, associate professor of surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, has been selected to join the prestigious Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program at Drexel University.

Dr. Pugh will join female academic medical leaders from across the nation as fellows in the 19th class of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM) program.

Drexel University was the nation’s first medical school for women, founded in 1850 as the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania.
