James Schauer, PhD, MBA, is a civil and environmental engineering professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an expert on air quality and air pollution. His research looks at ways air pollution negatively affects human health. Schauer recently teamed with Joshua Mezrich, MD, a transplant surgeon with the UW Department of Surgery, to investigate how air pollution might affect lung transplant patients.
