Clinical Specialties
Dr. Rao is certified by the American Board
of Plastic Surgery with a certificate of additional qualifications in hand
surgery. He specializes in breast reconstruction, hand and microsurgery, limb
reattachment, and nerve injuries. He is chief of the UW replantation service.
Research Interests
Dr. Rao's current research interests include breast reconstruction, nerve injuries,
limb preservation for replantation with the rat model, and internal fixation
in hand fractures.
