Christina Lee is currently a research fellow in Dr. Gregory Kennedy’s lab investigating the role of environmentally responsive transcription factor, the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), in inflammatory bowel disease.

Christina is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, where she completed her undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia. During this time, she also completed two advanced performance degrees in classical piano under the Royal Conservatory of Music and the London College of Music. She continued in experimental therapeutics research at the BC Cancer Agency prior to obtaining her MD from Michigan State University in 2012. She is projected to finish general surgery residency in 2019.

Christina enjoys the outdoors, travel and the arts. Horseback riding, running and music are her long-term pastimes.
