Clinical Specialties

Dr. Steiman is certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the breast, sentinel-lymph node mapping, nipple-sparing and skin-sparing breast surgery, and minimally invasive surgical techniques of the breast.

Dr. Steiman provides a wide range of services including Axillary Lymph Node Dissection, Lumpectomy or Partial Mastectomy, Modified Radical Mastectomy, Needle-localized Biopsy, Needle-localized Excision, Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Simple Mastectomy, and Skin-sparing and/or Nipple-sparing Mastectomy.

Research Interests

Dr. Steiman’s main research interests include triple negative breast cancer, invasive lobular carcinoma of the breast, breast cancer in the octogenarian population and axillary imaging following neoadjuvant chemotherapy. She is also reviewing the varied use of radioactive seed localization for non-palpable breast lesions.
