Lane Frasier, MD
General Surgery Resident
Lane Frasier attended Michigan State University, where she graduated with high honors with a BS in microbiology. She then went on to medical school at the University of Michigan where she developed interests in general surgery and health services research.
Lane is currently a post-doctoral fellow working with Dr. Caprice Greenberg and Dr. Douglas Wiegmann through the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research (WiSOR) program. Her primary research project involves evaluating team performance in the operating room from a human factors engineering perspective, with an emphasis on the impact of team unfamiliarity and hand-offs on communication, performance, and patient safety. During her research time she is also obtaining a Master of Science in Population Health with a certificate in Patient Safety.
Outside of work, Lane enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors.
