Sarah Tevis, MD
General Surgery Resident
Dr. Sarah Tevis is originally from rural Wisconsin and graduated with honors and honors in research from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (BS, 2005). She then obtained her MD from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 2010. She is expected to finish her general surgery residency in 2017.
Sarah dedicated two years to pursue research in Dr. Gregory Kennedy’s lab where she studied surgical outcomes, quality improvement, and patient safety under the NIH T32 Surgical Oncology Training Grant. While implementing quality improvement projects hospital wide and in the division of general surgery, Sarah has acted as the founding chair and active member of the Resident Quality and Safety Committee. In addition to her quality improvement work and clinical schedule, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, running and boating.
