Full Title Swallowing Outcomes after Unilateral Injection Medialization in Patients with Vocal Fold Paralysis/P
Protocol Number
Principal Investigator(s)
Status Irb Initial Approval
Description Injection medialization is often done to improve glottic closure, which should theoretically improve airway protection. Studies have been done to track voice outcomes after injection medialization, but swallow outcomes have not been documented in the literature. However, many physicians are utilizing this procedure anyway to improve swallowing, despite a lack of evidence. We hope to document efficacy of injection medialization, whether it be positive or negative.
