Jennifer G Steiman, MD, FACS
Jennifer G Steiman, MD, FACS is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Wisconsin. She received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL, where she completed her General Surgery residency as well. Her fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology was done at the University of Pittsburgh’s Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Her research interests specific to breast cancer are in invasive lobular carcinoma, axillary evaluation following neoadjuvant chemotherapy, application of radioactive seed localization for excision of non-palpable breast lesions and lymphedema. From an outcomes standpoint, she is interested in the pre-operative process for patients undergoing surgery. Lastly, she is investigating resident operative preparation with an overall interest in surgical education.
