Jonathan E. Kohler MD, MA

Dr. Jonathan E. Kohler MD, MA, is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Wisconsin. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed residency training in general surgery at the University of Washington with a research fellowship during residency at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His fellowship in pediatric surgery was completed at the University of Chicago. Dr. Kohler also holds a master’s degree in health communication from Emerson College in Boston, in collaboration with Tufts University’s School of Public Health.

His research interests center on understanding barriers to behavior change and developing communications based interventions to surmount them, with a particular focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of specialist consultation.
