Clinical Specialties
Dr. Edwards is certified by the American
Board of Surgery and by the American Board
of Thoracic Surgery. His practice comprises of surgical treatment of cardiovascular
disease, which includes heart transplantation, coronary bypass surgery, heart valve repair
and replacement, minimal access heart surgery, open heart surgery for the geriatric
patient, LVAD implantation, mitral valve repair, and atrial fibrillation surgery.
Research Interests
Dr. Edwards' research interests focus primarily on the treatment of patients with advanced heart disease.
