Clinical Specialties
Dr. Pirsch is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is the
director of the Medical Transplant Service and specializes in new immunosuppressive
drugs, pancreas transplantation, and medical complications of transplant recipients.
Research Interests
Dr. Pirsch has research interests in immunosuppressive therapy and the medical
complications of transplantation.
Professional Activities
Dr. Pirsch serves on the editorial board of several national academic journals,
including Transplantation and Graft.
