Dr. Hans Sollinger, Chairman of Transplantation, receives The 2004 American Society of Transplantation-Wyeth Clinical Science Established Investigator Award

Sollinger in ORThis prestigious award recognizes those individuals who are truly an expert in their field and is given by the American Society of Transplantation, the largest society of transplant professionals in the United States. The Wyeth Clinical Science Established Investigator Award honors investigators at the professor level who have made substantial contributions to the field of transplantation medicine. The award recognizes Dr. Sollinger's many distinguished contributions to the science and practice of solid organ transplantation over his extraordinary career. This award carries with it a $25,000 gift to our institution. The funds from the award are to be used for research and training related to transplantation medicine.

The AST Awards and Grants Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 16th during the Joint Plenary Session at the American Transplant Congress. Dr. Michael Lucey, AST President will present the achievement award and a slide-show will showcase past and current recipients. Congratulations again Dr. Sollinger for your achievement and recognition of a lifetime of work to improve human life by advancing the field of Transplantation.
