Archive: Dr. Peter Nichol operates on newborn with gastroschisis

Peter F Nichol, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Surgery, was featured in Sunday and Monday’s editions of the Wisconsin State Journal for treating a newborn patient with gastroschisis. Gastroschisis is a rare birth defect where the intestines develop outside of the body rather than in the abdomen.
