Archive: Golf Outing to Benefit the UW Burn Center

The UW Burn Center will be hold a golf outing on Monday, August 6 at Blackhawk Country Club. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety’s summer camp for burn injured youth and the UWHC Burn Center.

The University of Wisconsin Burn Center is verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Burn center verification by the ACS provides a true mark of distinction for a burn center, designating UW Hospital among an elite group of critical care centers offering the most comprehensive critical care available for both adult and pediatric patients. Lee D Faucher, MD, Associate Professor of Surgery, is director of the Burn Center.

Sponsored by the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety, the Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth provides children and young adults with severe burn injuries the opportunity to have fun with their peers and engage in outdoor activities while learning new skills and building self-esteem.
