Yoga instructor Laura Flanagan leads yoga practice
on BRA Day 2013.

Breast Cancer Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day was established in 2012 as a way to promote educational resources and awareness about post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. In honor of this movement, the Department of Surgery’s Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery will host a free, public yoga practice on BRA Day, October 15, 2014, at the Brink Lounge, 701 East Washington Avenue, in Madison, Wisconsin.

At 5 p.m., yoga instructor Laura Flanagan will lead a yoga practice with participants. At 6 p.m., participants will gather for refreshments and a physician-led Q&A panel with several medical professionals from UW Health, including plastic surgeons Samuel Poore, MD, PhD, and Ahmed Afifi, MD.
