Archive: NIBIB features sensor technology research story on website

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), an arm of the National Institutes of Health, published an article on sensor technology research that helps clinicians improve breast exam skills. Carla Pugh, MD, PhD, is principle investigator of this NIBIB-funded research. Under her direction, UW researchers have developed a hands-on, simulation-based training system to help physicians learn effective techniques and skills to detect breast lesions during a breast exam.

“Sensor Technology Helps Clinicians Improve Breast Exam Skills” was published on the NIBIB website on April 6, 2015.
