Archive: Restoring Hope Transplant House brings neighbors and transplant recipients together

Restoring Hope Transplant House, located in Middleton just minutes from UW Hospital, was recently featured on showcasing what neighbors can accomplish when they come together for a good cause. More than 75 percent of UW Hospital transplant patients travel from outside the local area. This non-profit facility will meet the need for comfortable and affordable accommodations as patients return to the hospital for follow-up care after their transplant.

The Transplant House is currently not open to patients or their caregivers. Additional funding is still needed to cover the necessary renovations before the doors can be opened to guests. Upon completion of renovation, Restoring Hope Transplant House will provide 16 bedrooms – each with their own bath, a completely remodeled kitchen, expanded community areas and a HEPA air filtration system that will service the entire House.
