General surgery resident Lauren Taylor, MD, was lead author on “Recalculating the Costs of Overtriage: A Teachable Moment,” published in JAMA Internal Medicine this August. Margaret “Gretchen” Schwarze, MD, MPP, was a co-author.


Girma Tefera, MD, is the medical director for Operation Giving Back, a surgical training program that prepares US-trained surgeons for humanitarian work abroad.
