At the Top

On November 10, the Department of Surgery hosted its first “At the Forefront” community lecture since moving the focus of the series from philanthropy to patient education. Ahmed Afifi, MD, led the presentation on migraine surgery and answered dozens of questions during an engaging post-lecture Q&A session. The event attracted nearly 100 attendees to HSLC, plus another 100 for a live webinar of the talk. Wisconsin Public Television recorded the event for a future University Place broadcast. Many thanks go out to Dr. Afifi for assembling a stellar presentation on a compelling topic, and to Keely Jeppson, Michelle Oster, and Emmaline Stilp for their logistical planning and support.
