Vascular Surgery Elective

The University of Wisconsin Division of Vascular Surgery offers an excellent fourth-year elective rotation for visiting medical students. The senior student becomes an integral part of the Peripheral Vascular Service performing in the role of intern. Students participate in preoperative, operative, and postoperative care of patients with peripheral vascular problems. Upon completion of the 2-4 week rotation, students should be proficient in the evaluation of patients with peripheral vascular problems and familiar with the principal forms of diagnosis and therapy available for treating these problems.
