Visiting medical students interested in completing a sub-internship with the Division of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery are encouraged, and generally occur between July and January of the senior year. These rotations are typically 4 weeks, and are competitively approved and arranged with Dr. Tiffany Glazer.
Interested students should submit the following documents to the UME Surgery Education Office at UMESurgEd@surgery.wisc.edu.
- Current CV
- Personal Statement
Medical students who are underrepresented in surgery and interested in pursuing a career in Otolaryngology are encouraged to apply for the Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) Visiting Elective Scholarship. Applications received before May 1 are given priority.
Following approval from the Division of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, the applicant will need to visit the Medical Student Electives website and complete in its entirety the process outlined. Upon completion of these criteria you will be allowed to formally apply and be approved to visit the School of Medicine and Public Health and Department of Surgery. (Until this process is complete, the elective as approved first by Dr. Glazer cannot be confirmed and “official”.)
We look forward to meeting and working with you.
