Lauren Taylor, MD

General Surgery Resident

Dr. Lauren Taylor grew up in Minnesota and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University in 2008 with a degree in economics. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern in 2013 and is expected to complete her general surgery residency in 2020. Lauren is currently a research fellow in the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research (WiSOR) program under the mentorship of Dr. Margaret “Gretchen” Schwarze investigating ways to improve decision making for older adults facing high-risk operations. She is also pursuing a Certificate in Clinical Research through the UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research.
