Ryan Schmocker, MD, MS

General Surgery Resident

Dr. Ryan Schmocker is a chief surgery resident and aspiring surgical oncologist. His clinical interest is primarily hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery. His past research has focused on evaluating the patient experience related to healthcare delivery, and was a previous research fellow in the University of Wisconsin Department of Surgery. During his fellowship he also completed a Masters in Population Health Sciences. Through his previous academic pursuits he has developed a keen interest in investigating factors that impact efficiency of cancer care delivery and defining cancer care quality. He will be starting a Complex Surgical Oncology fellowship next academic year.
