The University of Wisconsin will host the first annual UW Digestive Disease Symposium: A Multidisciplinary Approach on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The course will be held at The Madison Marriott West, in Middleton, Wisconsin.

The UW Digestive Disease Symposium will review current practice patterns on a variety of featured topics including new and updated diagnostic methods in digestive disorders such as IBD, Celiac disease, Viral Hepatitis and GERD; GI imaging; women’s health; and medical/surgical considerations for and management of colon and rectal cancer. Leaders in gastroenterology and colorectal surgery will address new and developing research, technology, and guidelines for practice in several areas of digestive diseases and also bridge the communication/understanding gap between the various disciplines that treat digestive diseases.
