Makenna is from Door County, Wisconsin. She played basketball and ran track for St. Olaf College while earning a degree in Spanish. She was drawn to plastic surgery because of its complexity, creativity, and the ability to restore form and function to patients. In her free time she enjoys trail-running, reading, and hosting themed dinner parties.
