Muhammad Jawad Amin Malik, MBBS, is a Research Specialist in Dr. Zarzaur’s lab within the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program (WiSOR). He completed his medical degree from the Aga Khan University in 2025 and has a background in clinical and health services research. His work focuses on surgical outcomes and quality improvement in trauma surgery, with ongoing studies examining injury patterns, frailty, and recovery trajectories among trauma patients.
He has worked with large national databases and has extensive experience in data management and analysis. His research interests include improving patient outcomes, advancing evidence-based trauma care, and understanding factors that influence surgical recovery in vulnerable populations. Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, he plans to pursue a career in general surgery with a focus on global and public health. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines and cities, and follows cricket and football with great interest.
