Jacqueline Murtha, MD

General Surgery Resident

Dr. Murtha is currently a General Surgery resident. She grew up in Atlanta, GA and attended University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree in Biology (BS,2013) and her Masters in Public Health (MPH, 2013), with an emphasis in public policy. During her time of UGA, she played water polo, spent time working in migrant farmworker clinics and studied health systems and disaster preparedness in Israel. She then ventured northwards to attend University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY (MD, 2018). In Rochester, she continued her involvement in community health, ultimately serving as clinic director for the student run clinic, and discovered her love of surgery. She is now ecstatic to return to her red and black roots, although this time as a Badger (go Dawgs!!), as she pursues her general surgery residency training at University of Wisconsin.
