Katherine Reuter Muñoz, MD

Plastic Surgery Resident

Dr. Reuter Muñoz was born and raised in southern California, where she later attended undergraduate university at California State University San Marcos. She then attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia, prior to coming to the University of Wisconsin – Madison for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency. During her time in residency, she has trained in the full breadth of the field, but specializes in head-to-toe complex reconstruction with an emphasis on microsurgical techniques. Her research areas prioritize investigation and optimization of microsurgical and anatomic education for residents, students and international surgeons. Most recently, she traveled to Bujumbura, Burundi to teach a multi-day microsurgical techniques course to 14 Reconstructive surgeons from 7 countries across central, eastern and south Africa.
