Kirsten Gunderson, MD

Plastic Surgery Resident

Kirsten is a Wisconsin native who received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her medical doctorate from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. During her training, she performed a year-long research fellowship in the Poore-Dingle Lab and has continued with varied research interests including microsurgical outcomes, surgery education, and quality improvement efforts in the operating room. She was drawn to plastic surgery because of the broad patient population and incredible innovation in and out of the OR. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and working on their fixer upper.
