Kishan Thadikonda, MD

Plastic Surgery Resident

Kishan’s research focus in residency is in qualitative outcomes in gender affirming surgery. He believes that gender affirming surgery exemplifies the diversity and complexity of reconstruction that initially drew him to the field of plastic surgery. He grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and went to the University of Maryland for undergraduate. Kishan went onto the University of Pittsburgh for medical school where he met his wife, Alyssa. Kishan and Alyssa couples matched into plastic surgery and family medicine, respectively, at UW. Outside of the hospital, Kishan enjoys trying new recipes and playing with his dog, Max. After residency, Kishan will pursue a fellowship in microsurgery and eventually a career in academic plastic surgery.
