Prior to my position at WiSOR, I worked for 8 years in Health Services Research for HealthPartners Research Foundation, Bloomington, MN. My main project was using Continuous Quality Improvement to improve diabetes care at the clinic level. More recently, I worked for 3 years as a research coordinator for the UW Hospital. I was a member of the mobile research team which coordinated clinical trials throughout the hospital on a 24/7 schedule. I developed a relationship with the UW Office of Clinical Trials and the UWHC Clinical Research Unit (CRU). Now as a WiSOR researcher, I have worked for multiple investigators on projects from clinical trials to qualitative research. I have experience in:
– HealthLink-development of data collection tools and chart abstraction
– Qualitiative interviewing and analysis
– Database development-entering/cleaning of data and basic analysis (REDCap, Excel, Access)
– Clinical trials (local and multi-site) recruitment, data collection, database management, study coordination
– Health Services Research: protocol development, tool development, data collection, basic analysis, study coordination
– Survey research: tool development, coordination, and mailing
– IRB applications
– Data requests: Department of Surgery and UWHC
– VA access: IRB submissions, data requests, data collection
– Abstract and manuscript preparation, development, and submission
