Trieu Do, MD
General Surgery Resident
Born and raised in Vietnam, Trieu experienced first hand the disparity in healthcare, especially in surgery. His childhood experience established and nurtured his interest in serving the underprivileged communities. In his undergraduate years at UC Davis, he obtained a BS in Biochemistry, BAs in Spanish and Chicanos/Chicanas Studies while volunteering as a clinical manager at free clinic in Sacramento. He also had extensive experience working abroad in Vietnam, China, and Mexico.
After half of a decade in Madison, Trieu is not quite ready to say goodbye to snow and feels very fortunate for the opportunity to build snowman and eat cheese curds in the next five years. He is an avid traveler and has visited more than 20 countries. In his free time, Trieu loves to explore many hiking trails in Wisconsin and enjoy the sunset with a glass of cider at the Mendota (Memorial Union) Terrace.
