Elizabeth (Liz) Calle, MD

Dr. Calle was born in Colorado and grew up in Connecticut. She attended Yale University, where she ran cross country and track and majored in biomedical engineering. She remained at Yale to complete her PhD and MD. Her surgical interests include lung transplantation, ex vivo organ perfusion and organ preservation, and thoracic immuno-oncology. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys running, hiking, book club, and time with family and friends.

Filippos Kontos, MD

Dr. Kontos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. After graduating from medical school, he moved to the US to complete a research fellowship and general surgery residency. He is particularly interested in oncologic thoracic surgery, the development of novel immunotherapeutic strategies and general adult cardiac surgery. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys watersports, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with friends and family.

Vyacheslav Lenkov, MD

Dr. Lenkov was born in Russia and grew up in rural Oklahoma. His surgical interests include adult cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, MIS and robotic surgery. In his free time he enjoys home improvement projects, auto repair, cooking and baking bread.
