Department faculty and alumni research on residency debt featured

Department faculty, residents, and alumni recently earned media attention for their paper examining the impact and extent of education debt among surgical residents, published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons May 31st.

Lead author Dr. Sarah Tevis is a graduate of the general surgery residency, and is now with the Department of Surgery at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Co-author Dr. Andrew Rogers is a current general surgery resident, and co-authors Drs. Evie Carchman, Eugene Foley, and Bruce Harms are all faculty in the Divisions of General Surgery.
