Jason Brant, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Brant is joining the University of Wisconsin from the University of Pennsylvania and will divide his time between clinical care, research, and scholarly activities. He will see patients at the University Hospital, Unity Point-Meriter, Eastpark Medical Center, and the William S. Middleton Veterans Administration Hospital. His research focus will include the development of a research program investigating novel methods and devices for hearing rehabilitation.

Additionally, Dr. Brant was named the Division of Otolaryngology Director of Neurotology Research. In this role, he will help coordinate and oversee research efforts focusing on hearing loss and rehabilitation, and pathology of the lateral skull base and temporal bone.

For the past seven years, Dr. Brant has been an Assistant Professor of Otorhinolaryngology: Head & Neck Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he served as Director of Clinical Research, lead the cochlear implant programs at the Michael J. Crescence VAMC and Pennsylvania Hospitals, and was Program Director for the Fellowship in Otology, Neurotology, and Lateral Skull Base Surgery. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Washington University in St. Louis, and residency in otolaryngology and fellowship in otology/neurotology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
