
Dr. Elise Lawson, associate professor in the Division of Colorectal Surgery, recently completed her term as President of the Wisconsin Surgical Society. She concluded her presidency by giving at Presidential Address at the Wisconsin Surgical Society 2025 Fall Conference held on Nov. 7-8 in Kohler, Wis.
Dr. Lawson will now transition to the role of Past President of the society, which she will serve as for one year.
The purpose of the Wisconsin Surgical Society is to advance the science and practice of surgery, in its various branches. The Wisconsin Surgical Society, a chapter of the American College of Surgeons, was established in 1946 and serves as an organization to effectively network surgeons in the state of Wisconsin for the dissemination and exchange of information with the purpose of advancing patient care.
