Caroline Cardenas, MD, who recently completed her general surgery residency at the UW–Madison Department of Surgery, is transitioning to an assistant professor in the Division of Acute Care and Regional General Surgery. In this position, Dr. Cardenas will divide her time between clinical care and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows within the context of her clinical practice.
Dr. Cardenas’ clinical practice will be based primarily at East Madison Hospital and Unity Point-Meriter Hospital.
Prior to her residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics, Dr. Cardenas received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and her master’s degree in medical sciences from Boston University Graduate Medical Sciences.
