Current basic science and clinical research programs include the study of the vascular biology of aortic aneurysms and characterization of the surgical consent process with major procedures. Clinical trials are evaluating new diagnostic tests and treatments for thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, carotid stenosis, claudication, critical limb ischemia, deep venous thrombosis, renal artery stenosis, and thoracic aortic injury.
