Dr. Sharon Weber is a Professor of Surgery and the Program Director. She is also the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology, Vice Chair of Academic Affairs for the Divisions of General Surgery, and the Medical Director of Surgical Oncology at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. She completed her fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Weber’s research interests include translational research evaluating tumor selective agenda and clinical research evaluating prognosticators of outcomes in patients.

Dr. Daniel Abbott is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology, and serves as the Director of Cytoreductive and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) at UW Hospital. He completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2012. Dr. Abbott joined the faculty at UW in 2016, after four years at the University of Cincinnati. He is a health sciences researcher and focuses on cost-effectiveness, systems efficiency, and socioeconomic disparities in cancer care.

Dr. Sean Ronnekleiv-Kelly is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He joined our faculty in September 2017 after completing a Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in July of 2017. He is a basic scientist whose principal research interest is pancreatic cancer. His lab focuses on formation and progression of pancreatic cancer as well as understanding the communication within the tumor microenvironment.

Dr. Caprice Greenberg is a Professor of Surgery and the Director of the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program. She is also the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Surgery. Dr. Greenberg completed a surgical oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber/Partner Cancer Center in Boston, MA in 2007. Her research program is dedicated to improving the quality and safety of surgical care.

Dr. Heather Neuman is an Associate Professor, her focus is on breast, melanoma and sarcoma. She has been with the University of Wisconsin since the beginning of her career in 2009, after she completed a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Her research focuses on patient-oriented clinical outcomes including patient decision-making, quality of life and survivorship.

Dr. Lee Wilke is a Professor of Surgery and the Interim Chair of the Divisions of General Surgery. Dr. Wilke is also the Director of the UW Health Breast Center. She specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the breast; sentinel-lymph node mapping; neoajduvant therapy for breast cancer; and oncoplastic breast surgery. Dr. Wilke’s research focuses on clinical trials seeking novel treatments for breast cancer.
